About Me

I am the artist/designer of Blue Mermaid Designs
I am simply known by my nickname, Jariel.

My love of art and fantasy has been with me since I can remember. I've experimented with many different kinds of creativity, but I found my true creative outlet in polymer clay.

I am completely self taught and have never been trained in any sort of art other than reading a few books and some tips from my online friends. My style is constantly changing as I love to try different techniques as I continue to improve different aspects of my art.

I love creating fantasy dolls, such as mermaids, but I also love creating moving, emotional pieces.

Most of all, I love being able to bring a smile to those who love them as much as I enjoy creating them.
